Putra Heights Explosion: MRA Delivers Recovery Aid to Affected Family
Putrajaya,
1 May 2025 – Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA), through its Selangor chapter
(MRAS), has extended essential post-explosion assistance to a family severely
affected in Putra Heights. The fire left five members of the Darren Loh family
injured and in need of immediate support.
Currently
receiving treatment at Putrajaya Hospital, one family member has sustained
fourth degree burns, while two others are being treated for second degree
burns. Understanding the urgent needs of the victims, MRAS visited the family
and provided mobility support in the form of two wheelchairs and two walking
frames, fully sponsored by MRA Headquarters' disaster relief fund.
This
initiative is part of MRA’s ongoing commitment to supporting disaster survivors
in their journey toward recovery. The mobility equipment aims to ease the
movement of the injured victims, assist in their healing process, and reduce
the daily burden the affected family faces.
MRA
remains steadfast in its mission to respond quickly and compassionately to
communities impacted by unforeseen tragedies. We stand in solidarity with all
those affected, ensuring that help arrives when needed most.
