MRA Johor Celebrates Hari Raya with 100 Child Cancer Fighters and Launches CAKNE Johor
Johor Bahru, 1 May 2025
– In the spirit of Hari Raya and compassion, the Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA)
Johor, through its Kulai district chapter, brought joy and comfort to 100 brave
child cancer patients during a heartfelt celebration marking the official
launch of CAKNE Johor.
The event took place at
Ward 8C, where MRA volunteers collaborated with committed doctors, nurses, and
healthcare staff to honour the strength and resilience of these young fighters.
The atmosphere was filled with joy, hope, and emotional support, creating
unforgettable experiences for the children and their families.
A significant highlight
of the day was the launch of CAKNE Johor, a new support network aimed at
assisting children with cancer and their caregivers throughout the state. This
initiative is designed to offer ongoing emotional, medical, and logistical
support to paediatric cancer patients, reflecting MRA's broader commitment to
holistic humanitarian care.
The celebration also
highlighted a strong spirit of collaboration, with MRA Johor (Kulai) partnering
with various non-governmental organisations (NGOs) across Johor. This united
effort demonstrates MRA’s unwavering dedication to local partnerships in addressing
critical health and social issues within the community.
MRA Johor extends its
heartfelt gratitude to all partners, frontliners, and volunteers whose
steadfast support made this significant occasion possible. Together, we remain
devoted to standing by our young heroes in their fight against cancer, offering
not only assistance but also hope.
