Student Care Program At Selected Universities In Conjuction With Ramadan: 600 Sahur Packs For B40 And Asnaf Students

On March 7, 2025, the Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) launched the Program Prihatin Siswa (Student Care Program) at five selected universities: Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), UiTM Shah Alam, and Universiti Malaya. This initiative aims to alleviate the burden of B40 and asnaf students by distributing sahur packs at each university.

This program is part of MRA’s welfare initiative to ensure that underprivileged students have access to nutritious meals throughout Ramadan. A total of 600 sahur packs were distributed with the support of MRA Siswa volunteers, who played a key role in the distribution process.

The program is funded through Wakalah Zakat MC Plus sponsorship and has been implemented for the past two years. Through this initiative, it is hoped that students can observe their fasts more comfortably while maintaining focus on their studies.

This initiative reflects MRA’s ongoing commitment to student welfare, particularly in assisting those in need. It is hoped that this program will serve as an example and inspiration for more organizations to participate in future welfare efforts.
