MRA CARRIES OUT QURBAN TERBAIK WORSHIP IN 1446H: 172 QURBAN ANIMALS DONATED
TO 7 COUNTRIES
Kuala Lumpur, 11 June 2025 – In conjunction with the celebration of Hari Raya Aidiladha 1446H, Malaysian Relief Agency(MRA) has successfully carried out sacrificial rituals in seven countries, including Malaysia, with a total of 172 sacrificial animals comprising 158 cows and 14 goats .
This annual program targets disadvantaged groups such as marginalized communities, conflict victims, refugees, and needy families in areas where it is difficult to obtain nutritious food sources.
The distribution of sacrificial animals by country is as follows:
· India : 107 cows
· Malaysia : 18 cows
· Palestine : 20 cows
· Somalia : 9 cows
· Uganda : 4 cows & 2 goats
· Yemen : 10 goats
· Syria : 2 goats
The implementation of this Qurban program is carried out comprehensively and systematically by the MRA team in collaboration with local implementing partners, to ensure that the slaughtering and distribution process is carried out in accordance with Islamic law and reaches the truly deserving recipients.
This Qurban ritual is not only intended to provide food aid, but also as a symbol of solidarity and love for fellow human beings, especially for those who are being tested by hardship, conflict, poverty or disaster.
