MRA Signs Second-Phase Agreement for the Operation of QFFD Clinics
Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) has signed an extension agreement for the Refugee Humanitarian Aid Project, funded by the Qatar Fund For Development (QFFD), with Qatar Charity Berhad serving as the delivery partner.
The signing ceremony, which also included two other Malaysian medical NGOs, Mercy Malaysia and IMARET was held during the Strategic Partners Appreciation Ceremony organised by the Yayasan Kebajikan Negara (YKN) on 20 November. The ceremony, marking a global-scale collaboration, took place at Hotel Premiera Kuala Lumpur and was witnessed by the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.
This agreement follows earlier Government-to-Government (G2G) discussions between Malaysia and Qatar, aimed at supporting the management of vulnerable refugee groups in the country. The programme, which operates clinics providing healthcare services to refugee communities across Malaysia, has now entered its second phase, running from September 2025 to September 2027. The first phase began in 2021 in the states of Kedah, Kelantan, Pahang, and Terengganu, in partnership with the same stakeholders.
