MRA AND IAIN LANGSA RESTORE VITAL HEALTH SERVICES IN FLOOD-STRICKEN ACEH
Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA), in strategic partnership with the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Adab, and Da'wah (FUAD) at IAIN Langsa, is carried out an emergency response mission to support communities affected by recent flooding in Aceh.
The operation began in early January and is expected to continue through February 2026, providing humanitarian assistance in the districts of Aceh Tamiang, Langsa, and East Aceh.
Response activities include the cleaning and restoration of public facilities, particularly health clinics, to facilitate the resumption of essential medical services.
Assistance efforts also encompass the distribution of clean water, medical supplies, and basic necessities, as well as the provision of psychosocial support to flood-affected residents.
The mission involves student volunteers from multiple FUAD study programs, including Islamic Guidance and Counseling, Islamic Political Thought, and Islamic Psychology, whose participation contributes to effective community engagement and the delivery of psychological first aid.
This collaboration underscores MRA Malaysia’s commitment to delivering timely and coordinated cross-border humanitarian assistance in response to regional emergencies.
