Malaysian Relief
Agency (MRA), in collaboration with Hospital Al-Islam (HPAI) and Angkatan Belia
Islam Malaysia (ABIM), successfully organized the Program Jalinan Kasih Jariah
at Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Mahmudah, Jalan Bangi Lama, Selangor. This
meaningful initiative was dedicated to providing essential aid and emotional
support to the elderly residents, ensuring they receive the necessary care and
compassion during the holy month of Ramadan.
The main
objective of Program Jalinan Kasih Jariah was to alleviate the basic needs of
the senior citizens at Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Mahmudah while fostering
stronger ties between donors and residents. The program also served as a
platform to engage in meaningful interactions and promote a spirit of
togetherness through various activities, including a communal iftar (breaking
fast) session.
Beyond
providing material assistance, the initiative aimed to uplift the spirits of
the elderly and reassure them that they remain valued members of society. Many
of these residents have been living away from their families, and through this
program, MRA, HPAI, and ABIM sought to bring warmth, kindness, and
companionship into their lives.
The event
commenced with a symbolic flag-off by the Director of HPAI Dr. Ishak Mas’ud,
Vice President 1 of MRA, Haji Khairil Anuar and representatives from ABIM
marking the beginning of a heart warming journey to Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas
Mahmudah.
Upon
arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the management and residents of
the care center. The day unfolded with a series of enriching activities,
starting with a congregational Asar prayers and the recitation of Mathurat,
creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere for all present.
The
official proceedings featured opening speeches by key figures, including the
Chairman of Pusat Jagaan Mahmudah, En. Syafiq, Dr. Ishak Mas’ud; and Haji
Khairil Anuar. The event also witnessed the symbolic launch of a collaboration
between Pusat Jagaan Mahmudah and HPAI, signifying a commitment to enhanced
healthcare support for the elderly.
One of the
highlights of the program was the engagement session with the elderly
residents, during which essential goods were distributed by MRA. Volunteers and
donors took the opportunity to interact with the residents, listening to their
stories and sharing moments of laughter and warmth. The evening culminated with
a heartfelt iftar session, where everyone broke their fast together,
reinforcing the spirit of unity and compassion.
Following
Maghrib prayers, ABIM led a Ramadan spiritual sharing session, offering words
of encouragement and reflection to further inspire the attendees. The night
continued with Isyak and Tarawih prayers, providing a moment of spiritual
enrichment before the program concluded with a light moreh meal and farewells.
Program
Jalinan Kasih Jariah was not just about providing material assistance; it was a
heartfelt gesture of solidarity, love, and care for the elderly. The
collaboration between MRA, HPAI, and ABIM showcased the power of unity in
humanitarian efforts, reinforcing the importance of compassion and social
responsibility in our society.
MRA extends
its deepest gratitude to all participants, donors, and volunteers who
contributed to the success of this initiative. Their selfless dedication and
generosity made a significant impact on the lives of the elderly residents,
bringing smiles and comfort during the blessed month of Ramadan. May this noble
effort bring blessings to all involved and serve as an inspiration for further
acts of kindness in the future.
