MRA Announces New Leadership Lineup for 2026-2028 Term

The Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) announced its new senior leadership and Central Executive Committee (Exco) lineup for the 2026-2028 term during the 11th MRA National Convention held on Sunday at Tamu Hotel & Suites, Kuala Lumpur.

The announcement was made by MRA's Board of Trustees (LPA) Secretary, Dr. Mohd Daud Bin Sulaiman, who is also the co-founder and former MRA President for the 2017-2026 term.

Hj. Khairil Annuar Bin Khalid was appointed as the new MRA President, succeeding Dr. Mohd Daud who had led the humanitarian organisation for nearly a decade.

Also appointed were En. Mohd Rezaidi Mohd Ishak as Deputy President, Dr. Shahrizal Azwan Samsudin as Secretary-General, and Sdr Stien Van Lutam as Treasurer.

For the Central Exco, five key portfolios were filled — Legal and Advocacy headed by Cik Ilham Umar Thabii, Health by Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Fairuz Ali, Vulnerable Community Education by Dr. Sitti Sulhoon Mohamed, Training and Human Development by En. Mohd Hasan Mohd Saaid from MIGHT, and Research and Digital Applications by Associate Professor Dr. Azlyn Ahmad Zawawi.

MRA also appointed four zonal representatives for special tasks. Dr. Mohd Saifullah Alhany Abdul Halim represents the Northern Zone for the Emergency Medical Aid portfolio, Sdr Mohd Lutfi Hafifi represents Sabah and Sarawak for Media, Sdri Siti Zubaidah Samat represents the Southern Zone for Youth Development and Leadership, while Dr. Ismail Isa represents the East Coast for Public Relations and Smart Communication.

In addition, three Special Project Committees at the Secretariat level were also announced.

Hjh. Sharifah Aminah Al Khared was appointed as Chairperson for International Networking and Fundraising, while Dr. Mohd Daud Sulaiman himself will head two special projects — the Rohingya Community School and the Orang Asli Community Development programme.
