MRA & CBTL Malaysia Strengthen Community Bonds Through the Kongsi Rezeki Campaign
KUALA LUMPUR, March 17 – In a remarkable
display of community spirit and collaboration, the Malaysian Relief Agency
(MRA) partnered with Masjid Jamek Alam Shah, Pudu, and Coffee Bean & Tea
Leaf (CBTL) Malaysia to successfully execute the Kongsi Rezeki campaign at
Masjid Jamek Alam Shah. Held last Monday, the event aimed to share blessings
and support the local community during a time of celebration and need.
At the heart of the
campaign was the distribution of 600 packets of bubur lambuk, a traditional
porridge cherished during the holy month of Ramadan. This initiative provided a
warm meal to community members, reinforcing bonds and offering comfort through
shared traditions.
In addition, CBTL
Malaysia made a significant contribution by donating 300 sandwich packs. These
were strategically distributed at three prominent locations—Masjid Jamek Alam
Shah, Pudu LRT Station, and Taman Maluri MRT Station—to ensure that the support
reached a broader segment of the community. The choice of high-traffic areas
maximized accessibility for both regular commuters and local mosque
congregants.
The success of the
event was further amplified by the dedicated efforts of several CBTL employees
who worked closely with MRA staff and mosque committees. Together, they
meticulously packed the bubur lambuk and coordinated the efficient distribution
of both the porridge and sandwiches, ensuring every recipient received their
share promptly.
Overall, the Kongsi
Rezeki campaign not only addressed the immediate nutritional needs after a long
day of fasting but also served as a powerful symbol of unity and mutual support
among corporate, religious, and humanitarian groups. This collaborative effort
underscores the ongoing commitment of all involved to fostering community
resilience and well-being.
