Strengthening Communities with
Sustainable Solutions
We are honored to share insights
from the recent solar briefing conducted by representatives from MRA HQ for the
teachers of SK Sungai Tiang (Branch of SK Sungai Kejar), as well as for the
ongoing maintenance of the system. This informative session was designed to
deepen their understanding of how the solar system operates, ensuring they are
well-prepared to address any potential challenges that may arise in the future.
The aim was to empower these educators with the knowledge and tools necessary
to effectively oversee the continued success and sustainability of the system.
SOLAR SYSTEM: During the
session, participants learned how to efficiently manage and monitor the solar
system to ensure its optimal performance. They were introduced to the Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs) that would help them identify, troubleshoot, and
resolve any issues that might occur, ensuring minimal disruptions. In addition,
simple yet effective modules were provided to aid in the problem-solving
process, making it easier for the teachers and local community members to
handle maintenance tasks independently when needed. This hands-on approach
ensures that they are equipped with the necessary skills to ensure the solar
system’s longevity and reliability.
WATER SYSTEM MAINTENANCE:
Alongside the solar system briefing, MRA Perak has also undertaken a
comprehensive inspection and cleaning of the community’s water system. This
important maintenance activity was carried out to ensure that the water system
remains in excellent condition, providing the community with a reliable and
safe water supply. Regular maintenance is essential for preventing future
complications and ensuring that the community can continue to enjoy access to
clean water without interruption. MRA’s proactive approach ensures the
long-term sustainability of essential resources for the residents.
PRE AND POST-TESTING: To
prepare for the successful implementation and management of these systems, both
the teachers and local villagers participated in pre- and post-tests. These
assessments were designed to gauge their understanding of the solar and water
systems before and after the training. The results from these tests will help
MRA assess the effectiveness of the training and ensure that the participants
are fully prepared to manage the systems confidently. This feedback also allows
for further refinement of future training sessions, ensuring they meet the
needs of the community and are tailored for maximum impact.
Together, we are building a
brighter, more sustainable, and self-sufficient future for communities in need.
These initiatives are just the beginning, and we are excited to continue our
work alongside these dedicated individuals to create lasting change. Stay tuned
for more updates as we work to expand these efforts and bring more meaningful
solutions to other communities. Join us in celebrating these impactful
initiatives that are contributing to the overall well-being and empowerment of
communities, while fostering a sense of ownership and pride in the resources
they are now able to manage and sustain.
