LEBANON

Lebanon is currently grappling with a multifaceted crisis, marked by economic instability, political paralysis, and a worsening humanitarian situation. Hyperinflation, a collapsed banking system, and the devaluation of the Lebanese pound have left many citizens in poverty, while public services like healthcare, education, and electricity are increasingly limited. The country's political landscape is hindered by corruption and a lack of reform, undermining trust in governance.
Socially, Lebanon continues to deal with the
consequences of past conflicts, with millions displaced and in need of urgent
assistance. Security concerns persist, especially in border regions. NGOs and
international partners are working to provide vital support, but Lebanon’s path
to recovery requires sustained efforts and collaboration to address both
immediate needs and long-term solutions.
Blanket Project
The Blanket Project in Lebanon provides essential blankets to
vulnerable families, especially during the harsh winter months. With many
people facing economic hardship, displacement, and difficult living conditions,
the project aims to ensure that individuals, particularly children and the
elderly, are kept warm and protected from the cold. Blankets help provide
comfort and security, especially for families living in temporary shelters or
inadequate housing. By distributing these blankets, the project not only helps
prevent cold-related illnesses but also offers a sense of care and dignity,
improving the overall well-being of the community during the winter season.
Food Basket
The Food Basket project provides essential food items to families
in need, helping to alleviate hunger and food insecurity. Each basket typically
contains staple items like rice, flour, oil, beans, and canned goods, ensuring
that families have enough to sustain themselves for a period of time. This
project is especially important for families facing financial challenges or
living in conflict-affected areas, where access to food can be limited. By
delivering food baskets, the project not only helps to meet basic nutritional
needs but also provides relief to families, allowing them to focus on other
important needs during difficult times.
Ramadan
The Ramadan project in Lebanon provides food aid to families in
need, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, when many individuals face
economic difficulties and are unable to afford the costs of iftar, the meal to
break the fast. Lebanon's ongoing economic crisis, along with the large refugee
population from Syria, has significantly impacted families' ability to meet
basic food needs. This project ensures that vulnerable families, including
refugees and low-income Lebanese families, receive food packages containing
essential items such as dates, rice, flour, oil, canned goods, and sweets,
along with fresh meals for iftar. By distributing these items, the Ramadan
project alleviates hunger, promotes community solidarity, and allows families
to observe the religious practices of the holy month with dignity, providing
support in a time of great hardship.
Qurban
The Qurban project in Lebanon provides meat from sacrificed animals
during the Islamic festival of Eid al-Adha to families in need, particularly
those affected by the ongoing economic crisis and displacement. Many
communities, including refugees from Syria and Lebanese families facing
financial hardships, struggle to afford the traditional Eid meal. This project
ensures that vulnerable families can partake in the blessings of Eid by
distributing fresh meat, allowing them to celebrate with dignity. The Qurban
initiative not only addresses food insecurity but also fosters a sense of
community and solidarity, helping to bring hope and joy to families during a
challenging time.
